Nibal was born and raised in Kuwait to Palestinian Christian parents. She spent the first 13 years of her life in the Middle East until her family immigrated to America when she was 13 years old and she landed in Houston, Texas. She likes to think of herself as a Palestinian-Texan – it’s her own little category that the census bureau has yet to acknowledge!
Nibal attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she studied Psychology and Political Science. After graduating, she accepted a job in Nashville, Tennessee and spent the bulk of her professional career in that city working in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors.
In the non-profit world, Nibal achieved great success as a fundraising professional who helped organizations reach and exceed their financial needs in order to serve low income communities across the city of Nashville. Her greatest success came during her tenure with the Nashville Habitat for Humanity where she was instrumental in raising the funds that resulted in doubling the number of houses built in one year.
Nibal’s success in the nonprofit sector allowed her to make a jump into the corporate world where she landed at a technology incubator for startup companies. She worked with several start ups to help them develop the foundation needed to grow and succeed in a competitive and fast moving industry. As a project manager for an online healthcare education company, she partnered with clients to create applications that served the needs of their employees both to achieve compliance and to grow and retain their workforce.
After taking some time off to focus on her growing family, Nibal restarted her career after moving to Overland Park, Kansas in 2010. She is certified as a life and business coach and works with her clients to discover their goals and to build a roadmap to reach them. As a coach, she helps her clients build a bridge from their dreams to reality. She loves to teach and speaks to audiences about the importance of having a growth mindset and the role of self talk in achieving success.
Nibal’s core mission and calling is to help people. She helps people in her role as mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She helps women get equipped and discipled through the women’s ministries at her church. And she helps people transform their lives through her speaking and coaching. Nibal is married to her best friend, Drew, and together they have three children.
